About my latest book, "True Season of Love"
It's a ground rule that guests never remove their masks at André Lélouche's weekend masquerade and charity ball in London. There's an aura of mystery and excitement when two beautiful African-American sisters living in Paris are purchased by the highest bidder—all in the name of charity. When they are invited to a private suite to dine, Connie and Olivia Moreno discover the highest bidder has brought a friend. And so begins a night of being wooed by masked strangers.
True Season of Love is a mesmerizing, passionate love story set in Paris, France in the 1960s. Quiet, reserved, African-American, Olivia Moreno, a Medical Journalist, falls for dynamic, Greek, maverick Ptolemy Verenis. They meet at a lavish masquerade party in London.
It's a night of not removing one's mask. It's a night of not revealing your identity. It's a night with a lush tapestry of desire, thrilling passion, and fulfilling love. It's a night Olivia wishes to forget. She has a great job. Letting her hair down that weekend must remain secret. But Ptolemy is captivated by the woman he's met; he has no intention of forgetting her.
This is a hauntingly beautiful love story between a man and a woman. And as Olivia and Ptolemy struggle with their secrets, and the interference and envy from their family, they are uncertain of love and acceptance in True Season of Love.
